A typological still life that combines the spirit of collecting with photographic precision. Carefully arranged in grids, maritime finds—from weathered stones to delicate seashells—form a graphic structure. The distinctive, classic grain of Ilford HP5, exposed on a Sinar large-format camera, lends the background a wonderfully tactile, almost sandy texture. The subtle gray gradations and fine details reflect the dedication inherent in this unhurried shot.
